Brother Lightfoot began preaching for the 5th and Greenwich congregation in April of 2011. His attitude and actions exhibit his favorite saying “It’s a Great life when you love the Lord”, and his enthusiasm for God’s work is truly contagious. Dan graduated from the Preston Road School of Preaching in its first class in 1967. He married Dolores Michael in Irving, TX November 17, 1967. Dan worked for the Bloomfield, N.M. church 1967-1970 (and for the Aztec church for several months). Since his first preaching job in New Mexico, Dan has been actively spreading the Gospel for over 50 years. Some of ministry efforts include: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Four Corners Youth Encampment near Cortez, CO. Preached for the Broadway and Madison congregation in Springfield, MO, 1970-75; Mission trip to India in 1974; Preached for the Southside congregation in Rogers, AR 1975-1980 where the Church’s bus ministry brought in over 300 every Sunday and baptized 108 one year; Preached for the West Side Church of Christ in Russellville, AR for 31 years, 1980- 2010; and has conducted or participated in many missions campaigns in Guyana, Mexico, Ukraine, and Ghana. Dan and Dolores have one son and three daughters, all married and deeply involved in the work of the church in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Iowa. They have 17 grandchildren.
